Day 1 — Anchorage to Denali
- Arrival in Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city located at the base of the Chugach Mountains
- Check into a late model rental vehicle in Anchorage (vehicle provided with unlimited mileage)
- Drive from Anchorage to Talkeetna on the scenic Glenn & Parks Highway (approx. 2 hour drive)
- Arrive in Talkeetna, located on the south side of Denali. This quaint historical bush town is known for its famous bush plane flights to Denali and mountain climbing community.
- Enjoy lunch at a local cafe in Talkeetna
- Take a one-hour afternoon flightseeing tour for an up-close view of Denali and the Alaska Range
- Continue heading north on the Parks Highway to Denali (approx. 2 hour drive)

Enjoy exploring Denali National Park – A good location to view the Northern Lights on a clear evening
Day 2 — Denali National Park
- Explore the north side of Denali while looking for wildlife on the Stampede Road
- Drive along the first 15 miles of the Denali National Park Road to Savage River, where you can often spot Moose, Caribou, Dall Sheep, and Grizzly Bears. (Please note that access to the Denali Park Road may be restricted based on weather conditions).
- Enjoy lunch at a local diner or pick up a picnic lunch to enjoy at one of the many scenic picnic locations in the Denali Area
- Spend the day exploring Denali National Park. Enjoy extensive wildlife viewing and beautiful scenery at your own pace. Visit the Murie Science Center – Seasonal Visitor Center.

Enjoy wildlife viewing in the Denali Area – Spend some time in the Nelchina Valley on the Denali Highway to look for Caribou
Day 3 — Denali to Palmer
- Drive from Denali to Palmer – have another opportunity to explore this scenic drive (approx. 3.5 hour drive)
- Explore Denali State Park – Enjoy day hiking, beautiful scenery and wildlife viewing
- Enjoy a visit to the Iditarod Headquarters in Palmer and explore the museum. You can discover the fascinating history of the Iditarod race and learn about the upcoming next season’s race.
- Have a enjoyable lunch at a local cafe in Palmer
- Explore Hatcher Pass, famous for its Wild Blueberries and display of Wildflowers

Day 4 — Palmer to Seward
- Spend time at a local non-profit educational Reindeer Farm – have the opportunity to interact with and learn about Reindeer with a local guide
- Enjoy a guided tour of a Musk Ox Farm – learn about these unique Ice Age animals – their fine underwool of Qiviut and their historical native relationship in the Far North
- Drive from the scenic Glenn & Seward Highways from Palmer to Seward ( approx. 3 hours of drive time)
- Enjoy wildlife viewing along the Turnagain Arm Inlet & Chugach Mountains
- Arrive into the picturesque small bayside village of Seward – the gateway to the Kenai Fjords National Park

Day 5 — Resurrection Bay Wildlife Tour
- Experience a four-hour wildlife viewing adventure on a high-speed catamaran as you explore Resurrection Bay with a knowledgeable naturalist on board. Enjoy complimentary hot beverages during the journey
- Visit Exit Glacier and the Harding Ice-field located in the Kenai Fjords National Park
- In the early evening explore the Caines Head Trail where it is common to see Bald Eagles and Marine Wildlife along the shores of Resurrection Bay

Explore the Kenai Wildlife Refuge
Day 6 — Seward to Homer
- Tour the Alaska Sealife Center, one of Alaska’s most extensive marine wildlife research centers
- Drive the scenic Seward and Sterling Highways from Seward to Homer (179 miles approx. 3.5 hours drive)
- Explore the Kenai Wildlife Refuge – Stop by at the Visitor Center, enjoy local walking trails and wildlife viewing.
- Explore the picturesque village of Ninilchik and take in the beautiful scenery and local surroundings, including the historic Russian Orthodox Church.
- Arrive into Homer – a bay side village with fantastic views located on the shores of Kachemak Bay State

Day 7 — Explore Homer
- Explore the bay side community of Homer- visit the Pratt Natural History Museum, the Alaska Islands and Ocean Center and the Alaskan Coastal Studies Center
- Spend time on the Homer Spit – enjoy local trails and wildlife viewing
- Explore the local art community in Homer, known for its fine dining, culture center and art galleries.

Dine at the Tramway Cafe – Enjoy a sweeping view of Turnagain Arm
Day 8 — Homer to Anchorage
- Enjoy a return drive up the Kenai Peninsula to Anchorage
- Visit Portage Glacier Valley, known for its display of wildflowers & hanging glaciers
- Visit a wildlife conservation center to learn about animal research, conservation and animal care
- Enjoy a Ride and Dine on the Alyeska Tram – Meal provided at the Tramway Cafe
- Look for wildlife while you take a stroll along the scenic Tony Knowles Coastal Trail to explore the Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge
- Return your rental vehicle, transportation provided to the Anchorage Airport
