Enjoy a scenic drive up the Parks Highway – Stop to visit the Eagle River Nature Center
Day 1 — Anchorage to Talkeetna
- Arrival in Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city located at the base of the Chugach Mountains
- Check into a late model rental vehicle in Anchorage (vehicle provided with unlimited mileage)
- Drive from Anchorage to Talkeetna on the scenic Glenn & Parks Highway ( approx. 2-hour drive)
- Spend time at a local Reindeer Farm – have the opportunity to interact with and learn about Reindeer
- Enjoy a guided tour of a Musk Ox Farm – learn about these unique Ice Age animals – their fine under-wool of Qiviut and their historical native relationship in the Far North
- Arrive in Talkeetna located on the south side of Denali – a quaint historical bush town known for its famous bush-plane flights to Denali and mountain climbing community

Enjoy a view of the Alaska Range from Talkeetna
Day 2 —Explore Talkeetna & Denali state park
- Enjoy the history of Talkeetna on a walking tour and visit the local museum
- Ride the historic afternoon Alaska Railroad round-trip on a flag-stop train to the homestead community of Hurricane (6 to 7-hour tour)
- Explore Denali State Park – Enjoy wildlife viewing and beautiful mountain vistas

Day 3 — Talkeetna to Denali
- Enjoy full mountain views of the Alaska Range and Denali as you drive the beautiful Parks Highway from Talkeetna to Denali (approx. 2.5-hour drive)
- Drive the first 15 miles of the Denali National Park Road to Savage River, where it is common to see Moose, Caribou, Dall Sheep, and Grizzly Bears.
- Take a 3.5-hour tour in the Denali backcountry traveling in a horse-drawn covered wagon – enjoy a wilderness BBQ gourmet meal (all-you-can-eat dinner)

Spend the day exploring Denali National Park
Day 4 — Denali National Park
- Watch a Denali Nat’l Park Ranger sled-dog presentation
- Pick up a picnic backpack lunch for your day in Denali National Park
- Spend the day exploring Denali National Park- travel on the Shuttle Transit Bus for a 6-hour tour, Enjoy extensive wildlife viewing and beautiful scenery at your own pace

Drive the scenic Denali Highway
Day 5 — Denali to Glennallen
- Explore the north side of Denali while looking for wildlife on the Stampede Road
- Enjoy one of Alaska’s most scenic and wild drives from Denali to Glennallen. Travel through 230 miles of wilderness on the Parks, Denali, and Richardson Highways. The Denali Highway portion is a 130 mile dirt road that takes you through the Nelchina Valley. Total drive time is approximately 4.5 hours.

Enjoy wildlife viewing on the backroads of Alaska
Day 6 — Glennallen to Valdez
- Enjoy the scenic Richardson Highway from Glennallen to Valdez (approx. 2-hours of drive time)
- Visit Wrangell St. Elias National Park & the scenic Copper River Valley
- Explore Worthington Glacier, Thompson Pass and Blueberry Lake – famous for mountain vistas and wildflowers
- Arrive in the small city of Valdez, located on the shores of the Prince William Sound
- Valdez area lodging provided
Paddle around the Valdez Glacier
Day 7 —Prince William Sound
- Choose from a 6-hour Glacier and Wildlife Cruise to Columbia Glacier or a 5-hour Guided Kayak Tour at the Valdez Glacier
- Visit Crooked Creek for Salmon and Wildlife Viewing
- Travel down Dayville Road – a common area for Bear viewing
- Valdez lodging provided
Enjoy the scenic Glenn Highway
Day 8 — Valdez to Anchorage
- Drive the scenic Richardson & Glenn Highways from Valdez to Anchorage (approx. 4.5 hours of drive time)
- Explore the Matanuska Glacier Area and Sheep Mountain
- Enjoy a one-hour tour on the Anchorage Trolley – Explore the historic side of Anchorage
- Return your rental vehicle, transportation provided to the Anchorage Airport
