Enjoy Bear Viewing in Lake Clark National Park
Day 1 — Anchorage to Seward
- Arrival in Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city located at the base of the Chugach Mountains
- Check into a late model rental vehicle in Anchorage (vehicle provided with unlimited mileage)
- Drive the scenic Seward Highway from Anchorage to Soldotna (approx. 2-hour drive)
- Travel by Float Plane across the Cook Inlet to Lake Clark National Park – Enjoy up-close bear viewing for 5 hours.
- Continue your scenic drive, and you will arrive in the picturesque small bayside village of Seward—the gateway to the Kenai Fjords National Park.

Day 2 — Kenai Fjords National Park
- Enjoy a full day of wildlife and glacier viewing aboard a high-speed catamaran – explore Resurrection Bay and the Kenai Fjords National Park with a National Park Ranger on board – a deli-style lunch and hot beverages provided
- Explore the scenic Caines Head Trail, which is famous for wildlife viewing and sweeping mountain vistas.

Day 3 — Rail Travel Seward to Anchorage
- Ride behind a sled dog team with a local musher – Tour their training grounds.
- Tour the Alaska Sealife Center, one of Alaska’s most extensive marine wildlife research centers.
- Explore Exit Glacier and the Harding Icefield located in the Kenai Fjords National Park – Return rental car in Seward
- Travel aboard the Alaska Railroad Coastal Classic Train from Seward to Anchorage

Day 4 — Rail Travel Anchorage to Denali
- Ride the Alaska Railroad in Adventure Class from Anchorage to Denali. During the approximately 8-hour journey, take in the stunning Alaskan wilderness. There’s a train cafe onboard to purchase meals, drinks, and snacks.
- Arrive at the Denali Train Station – Check into a rental vehicle to use throughout your stay in Denali.
- Drive the first 15 miles of the Denali National Park Road to Savage River, where it is common to see Moose, Caribou, Dall Sheep, and Grizzly Bears.
- Travel behind a team of horses in a covered wagon to a remote wilderness dining location for an all-you-can-eat BBQ Meal

Spend the day exploring Denali National Park
Day 5— Denali National Park
- Pick up a picnic backpack lunch for your day in Denali National Park
- Watch a Denali Nat’l Park Ranger sled-dog presentation to learn about managing the park during the winter season
- Spend the day exploring Denali National Park. Take the Shuttle Transit Bus for a 6-hour tour. Enjoy extensive wildlife viewing and beautiful scenery at your own pace

Day 6 — Rail Travel Denali to Fairbanks
- Enjoy a rafting tour on the Nenana River – choose from whitewater rafting or a scenic float trip
- Explore the Denali National Park Area – enjoy presentations provided through the Park Service, visit the Murie Science Center
- Travel aboard the late afternoon Denali Star Train from Denali to Fairbanks
- Check into rental vehicle upon arrival into Fairbanks

Day 7 — Fort Yukon - Arctic Circle
- Explore the Morris Thompson Cultural Center to learn about the diverse native culture & living in the Far North
- Ride the historic steamboat Riverboat Discovery down the Chena River
- Travel by Bush-plane to the remote native community of Fort Yukon located north of the Arctic Circle – enjoy a locally guided tour to learn about living in this remote Far North community located on the shores of the Yukon River

Day 8 — Explore Fairbanks
- Visit the Univ. of Alaska Fairbanks Museum – Enjoy the local shows & Audio Tour
- Explore the Creamer’s Field Refuge for wildlife viewing
- Travel aboard the Tanana Valley Railroad for a short ride to Gold Dredge # 8 for a tour and gold panning experience
- Return rental vehicle to the Fairbanks Airport
