Enjoy sightseeing & wildlife viewing in Fairbanks
Day 1 — Arrival into Fairbanks
- Arrive into the Far North remote small city of Fairbanks
- Visit the Morris Thompson Cultural Center to learn about the diverse native culture & living in the Far North
- Explore the historic side of Fairbanks on the Chena Riverwalk
- Fairbanks lodging provided
Travel on a ground tour from Fairbanks to Coldfoot Camp above the Arctic Circle
Day 2 — Fairbanks to Coldfoot Camp
- Enjoy an all-day guided shuttle trip through the Arctic wilderness on the rugged Dalton Highway to the remote community of Coldfoot Camp
- Stop at the Yukon River for a short tour of the local area- a remote cafe is available for your afternoon meal
- As you journey along the Dalton Highway, keep an eye out for wildlife. Eventually, you’ll reach Coldfoot Camp, a secluded wilderness village nestled at the foot of the Brooks Mountain Range, serving as the gateway to the Arctic
- Enjoy an evening viewing the Northern Lights in the shadow of the Brooks Mountain Range
- Spend the evening at the Coldfoot Camp Motel

Day 3 — Aurora Viewing Coldfoot Camp
- Spend a day of exploring the Arctic Tundra to enjoy wildlife viewing and natural history with a local guide. It is common to see bears, caribou, Dall Sheep, Musk Ox, moose and fox (on occasion you may see wolves). (Approx. a 6 hour tour)
- Spend the evening on a guided Aurora Tour 13 miles north of Coldfoot Camp in the small village of Wiseman. Enjoy watching the Aurora in a remote cabin with an outdoor fire going to stay warm when you step outside to be directly under the Aurora.
- Spend the evening at the Coldfoot Camp Motel
Look for wildlife as you travel north on the Dalton Highway
Day 4 —Aurora Viewing Coldfoot Camp
- Enjoy a relaxing morning in Coldfoot – Explore the Visitor Center and local walking trails
- Travel by bush plane on a scenic flightseeing tour of the Far North Arctic back to Fairbanks – enjoy wildlife viewing and stunning wilderness scenery
- Check into a new model rental vehicle in Fairbanks – vehicle provided with unlimited miles
- Spend the evening on a guided Aurora Viewing Tour at the Aurora Pointe Lodge – the host will provide helpful insight to photographic tips for the Aurora

Soak in the Chena Hot Springs
Day 5 — Explore Fairbanks
- Visit the North Pole and the world’s largest Santa
- Enjoy a guided tour of the Aurora Chena Ice Museum
- Tour the Dog Sled Kennels – Ride behind a sled dog team on their local training grounds
- Take a relaxing soak at the Chena Hot Springs ~ Enjoy possible Aurora Viewing while soaking in the warm pools

Enjoy the vibrant fall colors driving the scenic Parks Highway
Day 6 — Fairbanks to Denali
- Drive the scenic Parks Highway from Fairbanks to Denali (approx. 2-hour drive)
- Stop in Nenana to visit the Alfred Starr Cultural Center & Museum
- Drive along the first 15 miles of the Denali National Park Road to Savage River, where you can often spot Moose, Caribou, Dall Sheep, and Grizzly Bears. (Please note that access to the Denali Park Road may be restricted based on weather conditions).

Day 7 — Denali National Park
- Spend the day exploring Denali National Park. Enjoy extensive wildlife viewing and beautiful scenery at your own pace. Visit the Murie Science Center – Seasonal Visitor Center.
- Have lunch at a local diner or pick up a picnic lunch to at one of the many scenic picnic locations in the Denali Area
- Take a drive on the Parks Highway to enjoy the Fall Colors and possible wildlife viewing

Spend the afternoon with a local guide learning more about Reindeer at the Running Reindeer Ranch.
Day 8 — Denali to Fairbanks
- Enjoy a return drive back up the scenic Parks Highway from Denali to Fairbanks (approx. 2-hour drive)
- Visit the University of Alaska Fairbanks Museum – All shows included
- Explore the Creamer’s Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge
- Experience a guided three hour nature tour walking with reindeer ~ your guide will provide an informative tour as you learn more about the local reindeer herd.
- Return rental vehicle at the Fairbanks Airport
